Description

Kate is a 75-pound, medium-framed black Lab with a strong, natural point and an eager hunt. At the same time, her disposition is gentle and loving. She is a very solid, steady, fearless dog who loves water and enjoys hunting, but probably what makes her puppies brim with potential is Kate's amazing pedigree.

Kate’s father is not only a four-time Grand Master Pointing Retriever (GMPR), but a versatile, smart, well-balanced, talented hunting partner, as well. He’s 4xGMPR HRCH Fraquelli’s Sauble River Gator* - “Gator” and he has a strong prey drive, great nose, and excellent marking and handling ability. His natural point is staunch, intense, and high-tailed. Other strong characteristics are his intelligence, perseverance, and cooperative nature. In the field Gator is a high-powered producer, with good bird handling skills, having learned on wild, skittish grouse, pheasant, and woodcock. He is relentless, keeping up the hunt, even when things are slow, and he’s a truly tenacious game seeker. In the duck blind he's a dream—good in the blind, focused on flyers, and a strong marker on both singles and multiples. He possesses fine-tuned handling skills and excels independently in his searches while chasing down cripples. On top of all his amazing skill and talent, he’s also a good house and kennel dog. Check out Gator in video at: http://www.gforceretrievers.com/Videos.html.

Kate’s mother “Nena” was one of the finest females Marble Mountain has produced. She is a strong, natural pointer with a great hunting style and very likable personality. She hunts very well for the gun and has been a delight to train. She is the ideal Marble Mountain dog.

Kate herself has the following fine attributes:

  • Strong, but thick body type, with well-proportioned build
  • Intense hunting style
  • Likable, sweet personality
  • Strong desire to please
  • Great On/Off Switch

Kate would also make a terrific therapy service dog, due to her calm, gentle, easygoing nature. She is the perfect balance--a joy to have around the house and a sheer delight in the field.
