Kodi was born at Marble Mountain Kennels in Northern California on September 19, 2020, as the result of a breeding between two of Marble Mountain Kennels favorite dogs; Coho and Maui. Kodi is a 65-pound black Labrador Retriever who is very responsive, alert and friendly. He has a calm and outgoing personality with a fairly extreme on/off switch. Notable to anyone who sees him is his good looks. He has a strong muscular build, with a black shiny coat, and a classic blocky head and chest. In the field his personality changes and he becomes an intense hunter with a strong natural point. Then take him to the water and you see a strong retrieving drive, great marking and amazing nose work. He is the best athlete that MMK owns.

In 2013, PD qualified in five consecutive senior events to earn his AKC Senior title and also received his GMPR title that Fall. He qualified in six out of seven tests entered to earn his AKC Master title. This qualified PD for the AKC Master National in 2014. He is a handsome dog who is very athletic and covers ground with ease. He is a very intense, focused retriever who would rather work than get a belly rub (and he likes his belly rubs!) P.D. has demonstrated great marking talent and is very willing to handle because he knows that is the quickest way for him to get the retrieve! He also has a superior nose and will point game birds. Besides being a talented hunt test dog, PD is an outstanding hunter in both upland and waterfowl. He is calm and quiet in the duck boat but never hesitated to launch himself into Minnesota’s late season icy waters. He is a relaxed house dog pet that got along right away with the rest of our pack. PD loves attention from all people and dogs. Not a mean bone in his body.

Kay’s Owner says: “Kay is easily one of the best dogs I have trained. When its time to work she is ready to go! When its time to be at home she is really great in the home. If there is a word that describes Kay it is “EXCITING”. Kay has a great attitude with a great deal of run and hunt in her. She points her birds and loves to retrieve. Kay spends many days of the fall in the field chasing roosters and waterfowl and she does a great job at it. When training she shows a great deal of intelligence a real love to work. Bridger was bred by Troy Benson of Northstar Labs, and we were attracted to this litter because of the very strong pointing lab pedigree which include the following dogs: On dad’s side – GMPR SHR Cashman’s PDQ of Orion MH (b)*, FC Candlewood’s Meet Joe Black (b)*, 2xNFC, 2xCNAFC Ebonstar Lean Mac(b), FC AFC Candlewood’s Gotta Be Good, and FTCh Westlands Charle of Wicklwood. On mon’s side – GMPR Northstar’s Kay (c)*, 4xGMPR HRCH Cams Prince Charming Duke (c)*, 4x GMPR HRCH Fraquellis Sauble River Gater(b)*, 1.5xGMPR HRCH Tiger of Cattail Corky*.
