Sopris was born at Marble Mountain Kennels in Northern California on May 12, 2020 as a result of a breeding between two very strong dogs: 1) fox-red “Tonka” of Marble Mountain & 2) chocolate - “River” of Marble Mountain, so Sopris can throw the following colors, black, yellow, chocolate or fox-red. Sopris is a slender 48-pound shiny black Labrador Retriever who is gentle soul. She is calm, sweet, affectionate, alert and athletic. She also loves to please and when she is training responds quickly to instructions, proving her intelligence to all who work with her. She would make an outstanding upland dog, and if she has a vest to keep her warm, would do well in the duck blind. Sopris’ strongest traits are: 1) her even, mild-mannered personality, 2) her outstanding and diverse pedigree, and 3) her slender athletic body.
