LITTER DESCRIPTION: This litter combines the impressive athleticism and dynamic personality of Stryker with Sadie’s sweet, easygoing nature and even temperament, making it likely to produce chocolate puppies with medium, muscular builds and sleek coats. These pups will excel as loving family companions with a balanced energy level, thanks to their parents’ calm demeanor, alertness, and trainability. They are expected to inherit Stryker’s boldness, responsiveness, and drive, paired with Sadie’s mild-mannered, independent temperament and strong desire to please. They’re likely to be a little larger at maturity than our average smaller dogs, weighing in at around 65-70 pounds for females, and 75-80 pounds for males.
In the field, this litter shows great promise for both upland and waterfowl hunting. With Stryker’s proven genetics for quartering, pointing, and retrieving, and Sadie’s natural birdiness and active nose, these pups are likely to excel in retrieving and hunting scenarios. Additionally, their temperament and intelligence make them strong candidates for service or therapy work, offering versatility for active homes or specialized training.
FATHER: Stryker, born on August 28, 2023, in Southern California, is an impressive 80-pound dark chocolate Lab with striking good looks, a sleek coat, long legs, and a muscular build. His mild-mannered and easygoing personality is complemented by his alertness, responsiveness, and dynamic traits, including being friendly, loving, bold, outgoing, assertive, and curious. Stryker comes from an exceptional lineage; his sire, Ryker, is owned by a military canine trainer who considers him the best dog he has ever worked with. Known for his blocky, muscular build and incredible field skills, including quartering, bird-finding, pointing, and retrieving, Ryker’s genetics set Stryker up for greatness as a versatile, athletic, and personable companion.
MOTHER: Sadie was born at Marble Mountain Kennel in Northern California on January 15, 2021 as a result of a breeding between Coho & Mission. Sadie weighs between 45-60 pounds and is a dark chocolate Labrador Retriever who has a sweet, easy-going and alert personality. Her mild, independent and responsive temperament makes her a loving house dog. She could very likely be a great hunting dog as well, but her family does not hunt her. She loves to retrieve and is very birdy. Her thin and light muscular body would make her a great upland hunting companion. She also has an active nose and seems to love to train. She was a pick of the litter pup chosen by Pete for the purpose of being a partner breeder because of her even temperament, her responsive personality, and her great pedigree. Pete has adopted her to a former employee, who has found her to be a gentle dog and a great addition to their household.
