Puppies from this pairing are expected to have a medium build, ranging from 50-65 pounds at maturity, with coats in black, yellow, chocolate, or fox-red. They will likely inherit Trojan’s cheerful, affectionate nature and strong desire to retrieve, as well as Sopris’s intelligence, responsiveness, and gentle soul. These pups are anticipated to be versatile companions, excelling as family dogs with an "on/off" switch for active and calm environments, while also showing potential for upland and waterfowl hunting. FATHER: Trojan was born at Southwind Labradors in Sacramento, CA on May 22, 2016, as a result of a breeding between Red Hot Cyrus and Pepper Ghost Red. He’s a 60-pound fox red Labrador Retriever who’s a real lover boy. He’s friendly, gentle, easygoing and one of the happiest Labs you’ll ever meet. He also enjoys training, and anything related to finding birds, but what people notice most is his beautiful coat and handsome good looks. When it comes to hunting, he has a fun-loving style and a strong desire to retrieve. His most noteworthy attributes are his gorgeous looks, his friendly personality and his easygoing nature. Trojan’s pedigree is ½ English and ½ American, which allows him to take advantage of both traditions. Trojan is a combination of the best of both worlds.
MOTHER: Sopris was born at Marble Mountain Kennels in Northern California on May 12, 2020 as a result of a breeding between two very strong dogs: 1) fox-red “Tonka” of Marble Mountain & 2) chocolate - “River” of Marble Mountain, so Sopris can throw the following colors, black, yellow, chocolate or fox-red. Sopris is a slender 48-pound shiny black Labrador Retriever who is gentle soul. She is calm, sweet, affectionate, alert and athletic. She also loves to please and when she is training responds quickly to instructions, proving her intelligence to all who work with her. She would make an outstanding upland dog, and if she has a vest to keep her warm, would do well in the duck blind. Sopris’ strongest traits are: 1) her even, mild-mannered personality, 2) her outstanding and diverse pedigree, and 3) her slender athletic body.
