DESCRIPTION: This litter is expected to produce intelligent, athletic, and well-balanced black Labradors with a strong hunting drive and an affectionate nature. With Kodi’s intensity and natural pointing ability combined with Zoey’s even temperament and trainability, these pups will excel in both upland and waterfowl hunting. They will have a strong on/off switch, making them eager workers in the field and well-mannered companions at home.

ADOPTION LOCATION: Marble Mountain Kennels, or if we have enough clients interested, we may be willing to transport pups to Sacramento, CA for an additional $250 transport fee.

Father:

FATHER: Kodi was born at Marble Mountain Kennels in Northern California on September 19, 2020, as a result of a breeding between two of Marble Mountain Kennels favorite dogs; Coho and Maui. Kodi is a 65-pound black Labrador Retriever who is very responsive, alert and friendly. He has a calm and outgoing personality, with a fairly extreme on/off switch. Notable to anyone who sees him is his good looks. He has a strong muscular build, with a black shiny coat, and a classic blocky head and chest. In the field his personality changes and he becomes an intense hunter with a strong natural point. Then take him to the water and you see a strong retrieving drive, great marking and amazing nose work. He is the best athlete that MMK owns.

Mother:

MOTHER: Zoey is an 85-pound black Labrador Retriever who has a terrific personality with a nice on/off switch. Zoey is greatly loved by her family who describes her as very well-mannered and totally hassle free. She is sweet, easygoing, friendly and athletic. During the training process she enjoys working and will do absolutely anything to earn a retrieve. She is smart and well behaved indoors, but active and a strong hunter outside. As an upland hunter she has a very nice natural point and a good natural quartering style. As a duck hunter she has nice blind manner, loves water and is a solid marker. Beside her affectionate personality, Zoey has a smart-looking appearance with a shiny black coat on a muscular, well-proportioned and athletic body. Zoey’s three best attributes are her even-tempered personality, her smart and trainable disposition, and gorgeous good looks.
